In 1956, Mr. & Mrs. Edward E. Hunter had a dream of opening their own restaurant and lounge. Without any great deal of financial strength, surety of success, or a name anyone had ever heard of, the Hunters' dream materialized into Harlequin Steaks & Seafood.
Throughout the years, The Harlequin has consistently provided the memorable service and fine, quality steaks and seafood that the Hunters envisioned over fifty years ago. Today, over a half century later, through decades of service to Southwest Louisiana, and three Hunter generations later, The Harlequin has prevailed as one of the top dining experiences in this area.
